How to start a 24/7 Twitch stream

Go live on Twitch with just your stream key

Copy your Primary Stream Key from the Twitch Creator Dashboard (Settings → Stream), paste it into StreamHouse and pick your videos. StreamHouse sends the stream straight to Twitch’s ingest server.

Your stream title and category stay in Twitch — set them in your Creator Dashboard’s Stream Manager as usual.

  • Yes, as long as you own the videos or have the rights to them and they follow Twitch’s Community Guidelines. Many 24/7 channels say so in the title — with “24/7” or “Rerun”, for example — so viewers know what they’re watching.

  • Up to 48 hours per broadcast — then Twitch ends the stream. StreamHouse reconnects straight away, so a new broadcast starts and your channel stays live.

  • In the Twitch Creator Dashboard, go to Settings → Stream and copy your Primary Stream Key. Don’t share it: anyone with the key can stream to your channel. If it leaks, reset it there and paste the new one into StreamHouse.

  • No. Your videos are uploaded once and the stream runs on StreamHouse servers, so you can shut down your computer and the channel stays live. OBS is still the better tool if you want a webcam, scenes, alerts or live overlays — StreamHouse plays video files.

  • 1080p at 30 fps. Twitch recommends up to 6,000 kbps for 1080p. Twitch streams top out below 4K, so use 1080p videos for Twitch even on a 4K plan.

  • Yes. Add Kick, YouTube, Rumble, Facebook, TikTok or any custom RTMP or SRT server to the same stream and StreamHouse sends it to all of them. Twitch allows simulcasting unless you have an exclusive contract with Twitch.
