StreamHouse for LinkedIn Live
Stream to LinkedIn Live and Every Other Platform at Once
LinkedIn Live is built for real-time conversations: webinars, product launches, panels and Q&A sessions. StreamHouse lets you send one feed from OBS or another encoder to LinkedIn Live and to YouTube, X or Facebook at the same time. The fan-out happens in the cloud, so your office connection only uploads a single stream.

- Best forLive events sent to LinkedIn, YouTube, X and Facebook at once.
- What you needMore than 150 followers or connections, and an account at least 30 days old.
- Platform ruleLinkedIn discourages pre-recorded content; one stream runs up to 4 hours.
Before you start: LinkedIn Live access
LinkedIn does not use an application form for live video. At the time of writing, its help center says access is checked when you create a live event or connect a streaming tool, and that members and Pages generally need:
- More than 150 followers or connections.
- An account in good standing that is at least 30 days old.
- A location outside mainland China.
Check LinkedIn's current help page before an important broadcast, since criteria can change.
LinkedIn's rules for live content
Two rules shape how you should use LinkedIn Live. First, a single LinkedIn Live stream can run for up to 4 hours. Second, LinkedIn's live video guidelines ask broadcasters not to use pre-recorded content, and its FAQ describes recorded content as discouraged.
That makes LinkedIn the wrong home for a 24/7 playlist loop. Use StreamHouse for LinkedIn when you are genuinely live, and keep recorded loops for platforms that accept them, such as YouTube.
How to go live on LinkedIn with StreamHouse
- 01In LinkedIn's Live Studio, prepare your stream and open its stream settings to get the Stream URL and Stream Key. The key belongs to that stream, so fetch it shortly before you go live.
- 02In StreamHouse, add LinkedIn Live as a destination, plus any other platforms you want to reach, each with its own key.
- 03Point OBS, or your hardware encoder, at StreamHouse instead of at each platform.
- 04Go live. StreamHouse forwards the same feed to every destination at once.
Settings LinkedIn expects
At the time of writing, LinkedIn accepts RTMP or RTMPS with H.264 video and AAC audio in 16:9. It recommends 720p at 30 fps and around 3.5 Mbps, with 1080p and 6 Mbps as the maximum, a 2-second keyframe interval, and 128 kbps audio at 48 kHz. Set these in your encoder before the event.
Why relay through StreamHouse
- One upload, many platforms: extra destinations don't add upload load on your connection or extra stream slots.
- Automatic reconnects if a platform or network drops for a moment.
- Team roles: a stream manager can run the broadcast without the account owner's password.
- Right tool for recorded content: when you do want a replay running, send it to YouTube or Facebook from a playlist while LinkedIn stays live-only.
