StreamHouse for Dailymotion
24/7 Dailymotion Live Channels from Pre-Recorded Video
Dailymotion's live streaming is aimed at publishers and media companies: news loops embedded next to articles, branded channels and event replays. StreamHouse runs that channel from your existing video library in the cloud. Upload once, build a playlist, paste your Dailymotion stream details and keep it on air without an encoder in your office.

Dailymotion live is an Enterprise feature
At the time of writing, Dailymotion's help center lists live streaming only on its Enterprise plan. Users, Creators, Starter and Advanced accounts are marked as not having it, and Dailymotion asks you to contact your account manager or support to enable it. Dailymotion also bills live encoding by the minute, based on duration, resolution and frame rate. Check your contract before planning a round-the-clock channel.
What publishers stream around the clock
- News and explainer loops embedded on article pages, so readers always land on a playing video.
- Branded channels that cycle through a back catalog of shows or product videos.
- Event replays for audiences in other time zones after a conference or launch.
- Seasonal programming built from existing footage, refreshed by editing the playlist rather than re-encoding everything.
Stream only content you own or have licensed for this use.
How to set it up with StreamHouse
- 01In Dailymotion Studio, go to your live streams and create a new one. Dailymotion shows a Stream URL and Stream Key for RTMP.
- 02Upload your videos to StreamHouse and build a playlist. It loops automatically.
- 03Add Dailymotion as a destination with the RTMP URL and key.
- 04Start the stream or schedule it, then control visibility and embeds from Dailymotion Studio as usual.
Settings Dailymotion recommends
At the time of writing, Dailymotion recommends H.264 (High profile) with a 2-second keyframe interval and AAC audio of 192 kbps or more at 44.1 kHz. For 30 fps it suggests about 2,500 kbps at 720p and up to 8,000 kbps at 1080p. StreamHouse prepares every video ahead of time to one consistent profile with 2-second keyframes, so bitrate and timestamps stay steady from one video to the next.
Keep the channel fresh without downtime
Add, remove or reorder videos while the channel is live; changes apply on the next video, so the embed never goes dark. Dailymotion keeps live recordings of up to 10 hours each, so treat the live channel as a player, not as an archive.
