How it works
How to stream pre-recorded video to TikTok LIVE
Six steps, most of them one-time. Once TikTok has given you LIVE access and your videos are uploaded, going live takes a few minutes.
TikTok setup
Connect TikTok with a Server URL and Stream Key
Once your account has LIVE access for streaming software, TikTok shows a Server URL and a Stream Key. Paste both into StreamHouse, pick your videos and start — StreamHouse checks them before the stream begins.
TikTok only shows a Server URL and Stream Key to accounts with LIVE access for streaming software. StreamHouse can’t grant that access — you apply to TikTok.
- 01Get LIVE access on TikTokYour account needs LIVE access for streaming software. If you don’t see a Server URL and Stream Key in TikTok, apply to TikTok for LIVE access first — approval is up to TikTok.
- 02Copy the Server URL and Stream KeyOpen TikTok LIVE for streaming software (or LIVE Studio) and copy the Server URL and the Stream Key TikTok shows for your LIVE.
- 03Upload vertical videosAdd your videos to the StreamHouse library — 1080×1920 for a full 9:16 picture. Each one is encoded once, so there is nothing to convert yourself.
- 04Build a playlistDrag videos into the order you want. Videos in one stream need the same resolution, orientation and frame rate.
- 05Paste the URL and keyPick TikTok as the platform, give the stream a name that says it’s a replay and paste the Server URL and the Stream Key. Add YouTube or Twitch too if you want.
- 06Start, then end it in TikTokPress Start and close your laptop — the stream runs from StreamHouse servers. When you stop it, end the LIVE in TikTok as well.
TikTok’s rules
Know TikTok’s LIVE rules before you start
Two things TikTok decides on its own — and how StreamHouse handles the rest.
LIVE access comes from TikTok
TikTok asks you to be 18 or older with 1,000 followers to go LIVE, and limits streaming-software access to eligible accounts. Requirements vary by region and change without notice; StreamHouse can’t grant or speed up access.
TikTok discourages pre-recorded LIVEs
TikTok’s LIVE guidelines say streaming previously recorded content isn’t recommended and expect creators to be present. Looping videos presented as a real LIVE can lose Gifts and other monetization, reach or LIVE access. Label replays clearly, and don’t plan on Gifts.
Your stream key may change
TikTok can show a new Stream Key when you set up another LIVE. If yours changes, paste the new key into the stream before you start it again — StreamHouse never replaces a key on its own.
Vertical video stays vertical
Upload 1080×1920 video and it reaches TikTok in 9:16. StreamHouse doesn’t crop or rotate: a landscape video stays landscape, so make your TikTok videos vertical before you upload them.
Encoded once, at upload
Every video is encoded in H.264 with 2-second keyframes when you upload it, so nothing is re-encoded while you’re live and there is nothing to convert yourself.
URL and key checked first
Pasted a link, a title or a key with spaces by mistake? StreamHouse flags it before the stream starts.
Told when TikTok says no
If TikTok refuses the stream — because the key changed, say — StreamHouse stops it and tells you why instead of retrying forever.
End the LIVE in TikTok, too
Stopping a stream in StreamHouse cuts the video signal. If TikTok still shows your LIVE as active, end it from the TikTok app or LIVE dashboard.
Multistreaming
TikTok and YouTube — or Twitch — at the same time
Add more destinations to the same stream and StreamHouse sends one video to all of them from the cloud. Your video keeps its shape everywhere, so a 9:16 stream reaches YouTube as 9:16 too.

Compare
Streaming to TikTok: home PC + OBS vs StreamHouse
OBS is the right tool when you’re on camera and talking to chat — which is what TikTok expects from a LIVE. For playing videos from your library, the two work very differently.

- Technically, yes: StreamHouse sends your videos to the Server URL and Stream Key TikTok gives you. But TikTok’s LIVE guidelines say streaming previously recorded content isn’t recommended, and looping videos presented as a real LIVE can lose monetization, reach or LIVE access. Label replays clearly and read TikTok’s current guidelines before you start.
- StreamHouse loops your playlist with no set end time and relaunches the stream if the connection drops. TikTok doesn’t publish a maximum LIVE length, but it expects creators to be present and may end or restrict LIVEs that look unattended — so a round-the-clock TikTok LIVE is never guaranteed.
- Accounts that TikTok has given LIVE access for streaming software. TikTok asks LIVE creators to be at least 18 with 1,000 followers, and access to streaming software depends on things like account age and history; requirements vary by region. If you can’t see a Server URL and Stream Key, apply to TikTok — StreamHouse can’t grant access.
- In TikTok LIVE for streaming software (or LIVE Studio), once your account has LIVE access. Paste the Server URL into StreamHouse’s server URL field and the Stream Key into the stream key field. Treat the key like a password, and paste a new one if TikTok shows a different key for your next LIVE.
- Vertical 9:16 video at 30 fps — 1080×1920 for a full picture. TikTok recommends 720p or 1080p and says higher resolutions are unnecessary. StreamHouse keeps the shape of your video: it doesn’t crop a landscape video to vertical.
- Don’t count on it. TikTok’s LIVE Monetization Guidelines say it may demonetize pre-recorded or looping videos presented as authentic LIVE experiences, and passive or unattended LIVEs. StreamHouse doesn’t promise Gifts, LIVE rewards or reach on TikTok.
- No. Your videos are uploaded once and the stream runs on StreamHouse servers, so you can shut down your computer and the stream keeps going. If you want to be on camera and talk to chat — which TikTok encourages — OBS or LIVE Studio is the better tool.
- Yes. Add YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Facebook or any custom RTMP or SRT server to the same stream and StreamHouse sends it to all of them. A vertical video stays vertical on every destination.
- Stopping in StreamHouse cuts the video signal. If TikTok still shows the LIVE as active, end it from the TikTok app or your LIVE dashboard.
- StreamHouse plans start at $19 a month for one 1080p stream with no hour cap. Yearly billing takes 20% off, and you can cancel at any time. TikTok LIVE access itself comes from TikTok.
